Memorial Day Weekend traditionally marks the beginning of summer vacations, barbeques, and pool parties with family and friends.  

More importantly it's a day we honor our troops who have given the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.   

 

               

Mothers Day

May 12th is Mothers Day.

How nice to have a day set aside to stop and remember our mothers or someone in our lives that nurtured us- it's a good thing because  sometimes we need a gentle reminder in our busy lives to stop and appreciate.




I will always love the story about a mother serving her favorite pie to her family and friends only to realize that she in one piece short.  Upon this discovery she declares that pie is not her  preferred dessert and promptly gives away the last piece.
